EM 360 SOP

START-UP:
1. Empty the waste & biohazard can and rinse the same with water & keep it
back in its position with its tubing connections.
2. Check D.I. water & cleaning solution levels and ensure that D.I. water can is
filled completely & cleaning solution level is also correct.
3. Switch on the mains power switch of Analyzer, Monitor, CPU / P.C. &
Printer. Confirm that paper in the printer is correctly mounted. switch on
the Analyzer’s power switch located on right side and wait till the
INITIALIZATION is complete.
4. Switch on the P.C., Monitor & Printer using their respective buttons. The
P.C. will load the windows XP software and it will be ready in few minutes
(confirm that only arrow is seen on desktop/ screen). Now double click the
Analyzer’s software icon to load the software. Enter the Log in I D & pass
word. The software will be loaded. Wait till the INITIALIZATION is complete.
5. Before starting maintenance clean the reagent tray, instrument. Take out
reagent tray from refrigerator, remove the reagent bottle caps, and check
reagent volumes in the bottles. Confirm the reagent bottle positions using
Status Monitor REAGENT Tray Menu or Utility Screen & then keep the
reagent tray, containing bottle properly on the reagent table. Also you may
keep the samples, standards, blank(s) etc on proper positions on the
sample tray.
6. Now CLICK on the MAINTAINACE menu and then Carry out “Prime Wash”,
“Sample Probe Wash” and “CUVETTE RINSE”. etc.

SHUT-DOWN:

1. Click on MAINTAINACE menu and then Carry out “Probe Wash”. After
completion of Sample Probe Wash CLICK on “ WATER SAVE “ in
Maintenance menu, followed by CLICK on “YES” to confirm water save
command. Alternatively “ WATER SAVE” command may be given by
CLICKING “ EXIT” button of the MAIN MENU.
2. When the WATER SAVE is in progress, REAGENT TRAY may be removed
and all the reagent bottles may be CAPPED. Transfer the tray in
REFRIGERATOR. DISCARD all the CUPS from the SAMPLE tray.
3. On completion of Water Save exit from the software. After exiting from
software,
4. TURN OFF COMPUTER “ SWITCH OFF the Analyzer’s power switch & then
SWITCH OFF the mains power switches of Analyzer, CPU/P.C. and
MONITOR & PRINTER etc.
