THERE ARE THREE NEED THEORY OF MOTIVATION Need for achievements Need for affiliation Need for power

Need for achievements: Characteristics: 1. Setting of challenging goals for own self 2. Concern for excellence 3. Competition with standards of excellence set by others or self 4. Persistence in trying out alternative paths to ones goal. 5. Awareness of hurdles in the achievement of goals.

Need for affiliation: Characteristics: 1. Establishing and maintaining personal relationship. 2. Value of friendship. 3. Tendency to express emotions. 4. Empathetic by nature. 5. Like to work in a group.

Need for power: Characteristics: 1. Desire to influence others. 2. Urge to mention and corrective actions to be taken. 3. Concern for fame and status. 4. Like to work alone. 5. Delegating authority.
