Recent procurement research suggests that procurement functions with direct reporting lines to the chief executive have a direct correlation with the success of procured projects. Despite this bene t, only 56% of organizations position procurement at the same level as other functions. This regional conference will examine the positioning of the procurement function within public and private sector organizations and how this position a ects their ability to deliver value. The overall objective of the conference is to o er guidance on how to leverage the procurement function to deliver socio-economic goals at organization and national levels. CALL FOR PAPERS A call for papers is made to any person interested in writing on practical issues within the topics for discussion during the conference. Papers accepted will be published together with the conference report. Speci c authors may be invited to present at the conference and subsequent forums. Format for each paper will be a maximum of 16 pages; text font size roman 12; single spacing. The paper should include a short title; a 150 words abstract; introduction; literature review; methods and procedures; the discussion; conclusion; citations.

REGISTRATION FEE KSh. 80,000.00 + 16% VAT or USD 1,000.00 + 16% VAT. The fee caters for training, materials, refreshments and lunches for the duration of the workshop. Participants are required to make own travel and accommodation arrangements.
