DDB scoops D&AD double yellow for Wallace and Gromit

London, June 12, 2009 - - DDB proved that there was still hot creative talent in the UK
on Thursday night, at the 2009 D&AD Awards, winning two yellow pencils for the
“Wallace and Gromit” campaign for Harvey Nichols.

Despite an unusual drop in UK wins DDB boosted the UK’s tally and once again went
home with more awards than any other UK agency.

In collaboration between DDB and Aardman Animations, the campaign teams up the
iconic Harvey Nichols brand with Bristol’s most famous export to announce the opening
of their new store in Bristol - a hint that things will never be quite the same in Bristol
now that the fashion leaders have arrived.

Shona Campbell, Harvey Nichols Group Marketing Director, comments “We’re thrilled
to have won two pencils for Wallace and Gromit, whenever we open a new store we try
to immerse ourselves into the local culture and this campaign did that on a completely
new level.”

Jeremy Craigen. Executive Creative Director, DDB UK says "I’m consistently proud of
our work for Harvey Nichols and the level of creativity we maintain. Wallace and
Gromit is one of our strongest campaigns in recent years and I'm delighted that it has
been rewarded at the 2009 D&AD Awards."
