DDB SNARES STEINLAGER BRIEF

New Zealand, March 10, 2011—Lion Nathan, the alcoholic beverages business unit of Lion
Nathan National Foods, today announced that DDB New Zealand has won a multi-agency
pitch for a coveted Steinlager project.

DDB NZ Managing Director Justin Mowday says the agency is incredibly excited to start
working with such a prestigious brand.

“Steinlager is New Zealand’s most iconic premium beer brand. The team at Lion has chosen
us again to lead the charge on this one, and we’re really excited about working with them to
make sure Steinlager is as close to our mouths as it is our hearts,” Mowday commented.

DDB New Zealand currently holds a suite of Lion Nathan beer brands including Corona,
Budweiser, Stella Artois and the recently won Lion Red business.
