    A Mexican town was originally called Ajuchitlan but took the name Nogueras in 1704 when Juan Nogueras bought the local Hacienda estate. Over 200 years later, the Rangel family bought the Hacienda and converted it into a sugar factory, building a tower to produce piloncillo candy. In 2003, an earthquake caused the tower to partially collapse, and though only one part remains standing, it is considered a historic landmark of the town.

    Nogueras, Its a place in the municipality Comala, In 1704 Juan Nogueras bought the Hacienda de Ajuchitlan, Since this moment, all the people called that place Nogueras. 200 years next, The grandfathers by Rangel bought the Hacienda, and transformed the Hacienda in sugar factory, That tower, They made piloncillo. In 2003 next to the tremor, the tower fell, only one part, but Is Patrimony of my town.
