Our school garden mission The purpose of the Lester D. Wilson School organic and native plant garden is to provide an inviting, engaging, instructive, outdoor classroom for the educational pleasure of our students. Specifically, we seek to provide a living laboratory for hands-on learning experiences across the curriculum; to teach children about healthy food choices and growing food; to promote meaningful outdoor activity and create a generation of individuals that cherish and nurture the earth and the gifts it provides us.
