Monthly News Readers Workshop: We will begin working on Unit 2 Emergent Storybooks.
Emergent storybooks are familiar, predictable stories that children like to hear and read over and over. By reading emergent storybooks, children will develop language skills and a sense for how stories go.

Writers Workshop: Unit 2 Approximating Small Moments. Students will begin to


develop an understanding of narrative text. Students will begin to write stories from their lives using drawings and writing to tell a sequenced narrative.

Math We will begin working in Unit 2 of Math Investigations. We will continue to work on recognizing and writing numbers 1 10 as well as counting and comparing objects and developing language to describe shapes and quantity.

Science/Social Studies In Science we will be learning about the autumn season and the vocabulary used to describe the season. We will be doing different activities with apples and pumpkins from crafts to tasting. We will also be putting our learning to the test during our field trip to the pumpkin patch.
