Stages Set Induction ( 3 mins)

Teaching/Learning Activities 1. Teacher asks students about the stages in the life cycle of a human 2. Students will respond accordingly. Rationale: Get students attention into todays lesson.

Development Stage 1 ( 5 Mins) This is the explanation stage. 1. Teacher explains about the process of ageing. 2. Students will listen attentively. 3. Teacher will ask students opinion about the health problems elderly people face. 4. Students will respond accordingly. Rationale: Brainstorm students to produce opinions. Stage 2 ( 20 Mins) This is the practice stage.

1. Teacher will provide handouts for students which contains a few pictures showing the stages during the life time of a human being. 2. Teacher will ask and guide students to write descriptions about the pictures in sentences. 3. Students will do accordingly with the assistance of the teacher. Rationale: With the guide of pictures, students could write better content.

Stage 3 ( 40 Mins) This is the production stage.

1. Teacher will ask students to refer to the text book to complete the next task. 2. Teacher will ask students to design a card and write a reply letter to an elderly person from a nursing home. 3. Students will have questions regarding the task. 4. Teacher will clear the students doubts. 5. Students will do accordingly.

Rationale: To expose students into ways of cheering the elderly people.

Closure ( 5 Mins)

1. Teacher will recap on the lesson taught today. 2. Teacher will advise students to show care to the elderly people in their family. 3. Students will listen attentively.

Extended Activity

Rationale: To instill good values in students. 1. Students will be asked to write a simple letter to their grandparents to show concern on their health and well-being.
