Dear Chainnan Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for Earth System Infonnation Delivery and Assessment in Fiscal Year
2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is the University of Maryland, located at
Main Administration Building, College Park, Maryland, 20742. The funding would be used for
the collection of data to enable policy makers, urban development planners, natural resource
managers and planners, as well as a variety of private users, to base their decisions on a
convenient climatic infonnation system.
