    Prayer is at the heart of all that Mothers Union is. All our projects, our campaigning for families and our challenging of social injustices of all sorts comes from our grounding in prayer. Mary Sumners personal prayer (Written in 1876 by our founder) is central to Mothers Union membership. For many it is not just a club we join, but more a way of life. All this day, O Lord, let me touch as many lives as possible for thee; and every life I touch, do thou by thy spirit quicken, whether through the word I speak, the prayer I breathe, or the life I live. Amen. Our Wave of Prayer at midday is an offering of prayer from and for Mothers Union around the world. It is something that concerns every member as all take part in prayer for Mothers Union in each diocese of the Anglican Communion in turn.
