Educational Aim

- In 1961, Pres. Marcos created the Presidential Commission to Study Philippine Education (PCSPE). Its main purpose is to undertake a thorough study and assessment of education in the Philippines and make recommendations for policy and implementation. It recommended the overhaul of the educational system. - Pd 6 a ("Educational Development Decree of 1972) - Enhanced Self Actualization - Manpower And Middle Level Skills - Development Of High Level Professions And Evaluation Fundamental Aims of Education in 1973 Constitution o to foster love of country o teach the duties of citizenship o develop moral character, self discipline and scientific technological and vocational efficiency Agencies / Contents Studied o Curricular changes in elementary education o Integration of Values in all learning areas o Emphasis on Mastery Learning o Curricular changes in secondary education o Increased time allotment o YDT (Youth Development Training and CAT (Citizens Army Training introduced as new courses o Elective offerings
