    breakout speaker bio: modern slavery

    Kristian serves as the Director of Texas Operations & General Counsel for Love146. Originally from Oklahoma, Kristian spent most of his formative years in Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M in 2005, he acted swiftly to marry his beautiful high school prom date. With hearts full of newlywed love and romantic adventure, they moved to Maui, Hawaii. Trading one island for another, they next relocated to New York City. There, Kristian served as Pastor of Community & Justice at Apostles Church NYC. It was in that capacity that he first traveled to Southeast Asia with Love146 in 2009 to attend the opening of the Round Home. The healing, beauty, and hope he witnessed there galvanized his commitment to Love146s programmatic approach and philosophy. Kristian holds a B.A. from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma. His academic publications include an examination of human trafficking legislation in the United States, and an analysis of the F.B.I.s interrogation policy. He is daily held in rapture by his wifes grace and in a constant state of amazement by the unyielding energy of his two young sons.
