My computer image isnt visible on my promethean board

If your computer image is not visible on your promethean board, consider the options below for troubleshooting the cause for a Windows XP or Windows 7 Computer.

Windows XP- Toggle Fn F4

On the keyboard of your computer, identify the Function (Fn)and F4 keys as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2 Press Fn and F4 to toggle between monitor options, waiting approximately 5 seconds between each toggle. You should see one of the images shown below on the bottom right hand corner of your monitor. Stop toggling when you see the desired image of your computer monitor projected onto the promethean board.

My Promethean remote doesnt work

The most common symptom for a broken Promethean remote is old batteries. It may also be necessary to reset the Promethean remote. Both solutions are described below.

Replace batteries
Attempt to replace the two AA batteries, paying close attention to the proper orientation of the positive (+) and negative ( - ) ends of the batteries. If this does not work to fix your problem, follow the directions below to reset your remote.

Reset remote
Reset the remote by pointing the remote at the Infrared port (shown in Figure 11), then Press and Hold both the MENU and IMAGE buttons on the remote for 30 seconds. This reset requires the full 30 seconds pointed at the IR port. This should pair the remote with the projector once again and it should work normally.
