A Peek at Our Week:

Reading: We will continue learning how to read and understand informational texts. Math: We will continue our unit on subtraction. We will take an assessment on Friday to help guide our future instruction. Writing: We will be writing small moment narratives about our trip to the zoo. Science/Social Studies: We will be learning about basic map skills.

Reminders:
This week is Red Ribbon Week! o Monday: Wear Red o Tuesday: Tie Day (wear a tie) o Thursday: Pajama Day (wear appropriate pjs) o Friday: Team Day (wear your favorite teams colors) If you are able, please send in 2 liter bottle of soda for the Fall Festival. Dont forget to send in your pre-orders for the Fall Festival wristbands!

Sound Check: This week the students will be taking a 1st quarter language assessment. They will read words with short vowels, L blends, R blends, triple blends, and digraphs. Sight Words and Family Words: Sight words:

Homework Help:
Please practice reading our review words at home this week. Students should be practicing blending, rather than sounding out each sound in a word. Examples: sl-e-d, cr-a-b
