The prison school enables prisoners to improve or complete their comprehensive grades (13 students) take courses or the whole syllabus of the general upper secondary school (38 students) Four prisons involved: Oulu Pelso Sukeva Ylitornio
The school operates in the closed data network of the Prison Service Makes continuous studies possible in case of relocation

The equipment and set-up

A two-way video conference system with cameras and video projectors or monitors at each end .New equipment 2011 Video connection enables visual and verbal interaction The teacher can share the educational material Display printed material with a document camera Display any documents on teachers computer Play audio tracks for the listening comprehension tests Email and Moodle pages also used for sharing and distributing material The prisoners do not have direct access to the Internet
