Writeup - Canvas Use - Discussion Boards / Assignment Feedback Here I present examples of two different ways I provide students

with feedback utilizing the Canvas LMS. This first example is part of the Discussion Board feature of Canvas that allows students and teachers to communicate in a forum-like setting about any variety of classroom topics. The example was asking the difference between present indicative and present progressive. Students are encouraged to share their way of looking at concepts and then to post positive feedback if any particular student's posting helped them understand what was going on.

The second example is the assignment feedback mechanism within Canvas that allows students and instructors to share private conversations, either in text, audio, or video about the work done. The example here is a representative sample of what that might look like.
