KUs Student Employee of the Year committee is now accepting nominations for the 2013-14 award.

This award was established to recognize student employees who embody service excellence, dedication, and whose academic achievements remain stellar. Eligibility criteria Students must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated for the award: *Currently enrolled at KU *Degree-seeking part-time/full-time student *Undergraduate or graduate employee (must be classified as student hourly) *Employed by the department for a minimum of four months *Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 Student Assistants or Federal Work-Study Employees qualify for nominations but Graduate Teaching and Research Assistants are not eligible. Previous winners cannot be nominated again. Previous nominees are eligible. Nominations Departmental supervisors can submit their nominations online. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Jan. 31, 2014. Only one nomination per student will be accepted. Award ceremony and prizes The Student Employee of the Year and four finalists will be named during a ceremony at 3 p.m. April 15, 2014, in the Ballroom of the Kansas Union. During the ceremony, the winner and four finalists will receive a solid brass Jayhawk. The Student Employee of the Year will also receive $500 and be entered into the National Student Employee of the Year competition. All nominees, the winner, and the four finalists will receive a Jayhawk pin and a certificate of recognition. Call for nomination reviewers The Student Employee of the Year committee also needs participants, either KU staff or faculty, to review nominations. Each reviewer will read, evaluate, and score a select number of nominations using materials provided by the committee.
