Overcoming the Storms of Life When we face trials in life, a lot of people would question the Lord like,

If God is God, Why is there so much suffering in the world? or Why do bad things happen to good people?; Where was God when Typhoon Yolanda hit the Visayan region and a devastating Earthquake hit Bohol and Cebu? Why did God not stop the storm and why did God not save us from the storm? Regardless of Religion, believers and non-believers, without exception, all of us experience hard times, and fortune knocks us to the ground. These trials are not sent to make us fall. They are meant to make us weaker but to make us stronger. It is not easy to endure until the trial is done especially if a loved one or a family member has passed away. God wants us to see the purpose in the trials in our life and to respond appropriately when these trials come. Trials produce patience, perseverance, humility and meekness. God wants us to turn to him, to lean on him, to cling to him, and to pray. God is testing our faith in Him and not to punish us for our sins. God is giving us a better opportunity to love him more and to increase our faith in Him. But some choose to continue a path that can only lead to destruction.
