    ABOUT DEPARTMENT The department was established in the year 2000 with the vision of providing qualified engineers

    in the field of electronics and communication for the development of society. It has excelled with bright colours every year in terms of academics and technical activities. The department offers under graduate (UG) programme with the intake of 120 students and has been recognized by AICTE and affiliated to VTU Belgaum. It has highly qualified and dedicated professors and lecturers. The department has well equipped electronics and simulation laboratories. The department is involved in organization of workshops and seminars in various areas to upgrade technical knowledge of students. It has initiated its IETE students chapter, it also has IEEE students forum which encourages students to actively take part in various programmes. The department also actively takes part in the organization of UDYUKTA technical fest which has helped many hidden talents to come to lime light. The faculties have presented papers in various conferences and seminars. The other important features of the department are: individual counselling of students for overall performance, additional coaching classes for important subjects, application based mini projects at lower semesters, soft skill development classes, scientific and student centred teaching-learning process.

    EVENTS AND INITIATIVES The department has organised several developmental workshops on embedded systems, MATLAB, LABVIEW, robotics, etc. The department frequently organises various seminars given by highly qualified professors from IISc, IIT, ISRO to share their knowledge with students and to motivate them. It has started its IETE students forum which helps member students to attend various programmes organised by IETE.
