    The Indian markets remained range bound throughout the day and closed on a marginally higher note.
    The indices were highly volatile all day. Tata Power (2.59%), Bharti Airtel (2.45%) and L&T (1.78%)
    helped push the indices northwards.

    The Sensex climbed up by about 11.22 points to settle at 15781.07 and the Nifty rose 7.35 points to
    reach 4688.20. Both the indices had each gained just about 0.5%.

    The overall market breadth was positive. Among the sectoral indices, BSE CD (Consumer Durables),
    which rose by over 4%, was the top gainer. BSE CG (Capital Goods) and BSE HC (Health Care) rose by
    1.16% and 1.13% respectively.
