change major to business or psychology

career in human resources or social work

Career Exploration-Since right now Im not sure whether I want to major in business or psychology, I researched my dream job from each. 1. Human resources career: -requires integrity, confidentiality, business management, finance, and accounting education, social sciences, communication skills, organization, analytical thinking, computer skills, overall a broad range of skills -I would need to start directing my education towards business management, which is what I plan to do next semester -there is a growing demand for careers in human resources; the average salary for careers in human resources is around $40,000-60,000 per year 2. Training dolphins: -requires a college degree in psychology, hands-on experience, strong swimming skills, diving certification, etc. -I would need to obtain all of these skills-internships and volunteering would be a crucial benefit in gaining experience -the growth rate for this job is not extremely secure; the salary depends on the location of work; sources say that dolphin trainer at Sea World can make $40,000 to $60,000 whereas a survey conducted by the Dolphin Research Center found that salaries for dolphin trainers vary from facility to facility, but the average is between $18,000 and $20,000 a year, as of 2007
