Taylor Repetti Professor Susan Lago College Writing 1060-04 Me as a Writer

I have never considered defining myself as a writer before. As I had said in the writing assignment where we described ourselves as writers I am not very good at writing about myself. When it comes down to writing, I fell as though it has always been my strong point. I am not good at technical things, like mathematics or science, but I am not so artistically inclined to be a strong artist. So instead of creating physical creations, I would craft verbally. Ever since I was young I had enjoyed writing. My parents always stood there for me when I was having trouble, and supported my writing whenever possible, which was helpful because I suffered in most other subjects. Language always fascinated me because, in English, there is a word for literally everything. Some are more general like, remove (to take away), while some are so very specific, like defenestrate (A throwing of a person or thing out of a window). This is what really got me interested in writing.
