Main Goals of Professionals for the Year Ahead
Table 1 shows profile of professionals while Table 2 shows main goals for the year ahead according to age group. Different age groups have different goals for the future. The top priority for junior executives was to make more money but for the senior manager was to be healthier. The junior executives who earn an average income of RM 3000 with an average of 5 years working experience put more effort on improving technology and communication skills as their third and fourth goals. This is unlike the senior managers that earn an average income of RM 10,000 and have about 20 years of working experience. Their priorities was more to being healthy and saving money. Furthermore, 95% of them are married and thus more concern in spending more time with their family. In the other hand, those younger professionals that 40%are married ranked to spend more time with family as their least important goal. In conclusion, these two groups of professionals have an very obvious difference in their main goals with different age groups.
