I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. Hopefully, it was a relaxing
one for you and your family. This past week we started observing a new
insect in the classroom – a waxworm. We also learned two new
games in Math. I hope you have had a chance to play them with your
child at home.

Fri. Sept. 18 – Picture Day
Mon. Sept. 21 – Open House
Wed. Sept. 30 – Gattiland Field Trip

• Understandably, there is still some confusion about grades.

The goal of your child is to get a 3. That means they are
working at the expected level. Occasionally, your child may
get a 4 and that means they demonstrated knowledge above
the expectation.
• I will start posting pictures that I have taken in the classroom on the class
website. Everyone has filled out a form that allows photos to be taken but
if you do not want your child’s picture on the site, please send me a note.
• Book orders will be in this week.

Don’t forget turn in your PTA membership envelopes! It would be

great to have 100% participation from our class. The cost is $4.00
a family member.
