Activity Report

1. We visited Sivananda Electronics to meet Mr. Birmani after taking appointment from him. 2. He took us for a visit of the Sivananda Electronics and also told us about the his life journey. 3. Then we were taken to the Sivananda Health Centre and we were briefed about all the activities which they are performing for the betterment of the village people. It was really impressive. 4. We told him about the social project which is a part of our curriculum and he was very happy to see that the institute is sensitive towards the society. 5. He told us about the various things that can be done for the betterment of these people. 6. We saw plenty of clothes being kept at the Sivananda Health Center. We were told that these clothes are clean and have to be distributed to the people who need them. As a group we identified an opportunity for distributing these clothes. 7. Mr. Birmani agreed to provide us the clothes for distribution. 8. On 26th September, we went to the center and picked up the clothes. We had to find a place to distribute these clothes to the needy. We travelled to different locations to find slums. We were able to locate a place ahead of deolali village and found some kids there.

9. We asked the kids to call their parents and then they took us to their houses. 10. As explained earlier the houses were in a bad condition and we asked them if they wanted clothes. The lady in the house agreed and took some clothes for her 3 daughters. Then we asked the lady if there are other houses which are in need of these clothes. There were around 15-20 houses in that locality and we eventually went to all of them and distributed those clothes. V)

My experiments with truth:

1. During this visit, we encountered the sad state of affairs in which the poor people are dwelling in this nation. 2. We were all thoroughly impressed by Mr. Sivananda ideologies and his love for social service. 3. These people were not even accessible to the 3 basic amenities of life i.e. food, shelter, clothes. 4. When we offered them the clothes, they were very happy to see that we wanted to help them out and are concerned about them. 5. They blessed us to have a prosperous life ahead and we were really moved by their affection.
