Circle Time Review This week during circle time we are going to practice rhyming of our months of the year and we will also review days of the week and look at a calendar and talk about the time of year it is. We will review the letters and sounds that make up January. Vocabulary:

Activity Time

Months of the year: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December We will draw four weather conditions on the board, playing Pictionary along the way and students will put the months of the year beside the weather condition that best describes it. We will talk about each month. The follow up activity is a worksheet where there are five sections and students draw a different weather condition over a house. Students will then say Today it is sunny/cloudy/rainy/snowy/stormy.

Phonics
Review This week we will continue to do a review of the letter sounds and names. New (letters/sounds/vocabulary) We will be practicing the in(tin, bin, fin, win) and et(pet, net, vet, wet) word families this week.

Writing Practice We will finish our writing practice book this week.

Sight Words We will be doing a review on the first set of sight words this week. he, she, you, run, am, in, it and is .
