Maths
This week in maths we will start to press on
with addition and subtraction with numbers
from 1-20. I hope that the students will
already be confident with the majority of
these sums, having studied them in Thai
already, and we will instead concentrate as
much as possible on using the English
vocabulary such as the number words,
plus, minus, and equals. The students can
work through sums in their workbook with
support from the teacher, and also practice
using games such as the Groups game
(where students in two groups add and
subtract themselves from their group) and
Sum Races (where students have a relay
race to finish the problems in teams).
