In circle time the students will be using
this time to review shapes as the Activity
time has lots of activities based on the
students knowledge.

Phonics

Phonics Activities
Monday writing practice Colour

Tuesday - Letter board - make
sight words using a Letter board
and/or letter sound cards.
Place consonant sounds in the top
row and vowel sounds in bottom.
Try making small 2 letter words by
moving the cards one at a time to
see what happens to the word
Wednesday - writing practice
Colour me alphabet sheet letter m.
Thursday-Blending Box- Kids pick
two letters and blend them. Fly
Swat Reading-kids have to hit said
blended words on the board.

Activities:
Shape Monsters Using different shapes the students will be creating baby monsters! To
be displayed in and around the classroom!
Games: Musical Shapes - Tape Different shapes onto the floor. The children will then step
from shape to shape as I play music. When the music stops the children stop and yell out
what shape they are standing on.
Shape Bag - Put different shapes into a bag. Blindfold a child and have them reach into
the bag and pull out a shape. Have them guess what shape they have pulled out.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
There will be no new sounds this week but we will review. C/k, e, h, r, m, d and
blend these sounds into 2 letter sight words: ad, am, et, en, ic/k, im and ha.
