Circle Time Review

This week the students will be learning
about
the
landscape,
where
transportation can travel by sea, land
and sky. So the vocabulary for this will
be
Vocabulary: On the Road, In the sky, On
the sea and under the sea, On the train
tracks
This will support our activity time
vocabulary!

Activity Time
Vocabulary: Car, boat, train, truck, jeep, police car, ambulance, fire truck, motorcycle,
bicycle, bus, helicopter
Sentence structure:
What Is this? It is a train/car etc
Whats sound does a car make? Vroom
What colour is the car? It is blue
Songs:
The wheels on the bus - Super simple songs cd 2 tr10
We all go travelling by (web link)
Activities:
Popsicle planes stick it on a blue background and add cotton clouds for a sky effect.

Monday writing practice Colour me

alphabet sheet letter j.
Tuesday - Crocodile lake. Lay out
flashcards as stepping stones. Have
the students start on one side of the
lake and take turns to cross to the
other side. When they step on a card
they must say the vocabulary. Add
drama by adding sharks or crocodiles
in the water.
Wednesday - writing practice Colour
me alphabet sheet letter z.
Thursday - Letter board - make sight
words using a Letter board and/or
letter sound cards. Place consonant
sounds in the top row and vowel
sounds in bottom. Try making small 2
letter words by moving the cards one
at a time to see what happens to the
word
Friday writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter w.

Games:
Red light, green light: Make a traffic light and have the students be different modes of
transport. When the light is green get them to go and when the light is red have the
students stop and if theyre moving they are out.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
Review. j, z, w, v, y, z, q and blend these sounds into 2 letter sight words: wa,
vi, va, zi, ja, qu and yo.
