Numbers (2)

This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
In circle the children will be reviewing the
topics covered throughout last semester.
When reviewing body parts focus will be
taken towards the smaller body parts
such as teeth, parts of the face and head
(chin, neck, hair) and then larger parts
such as back and tummy. Some of these
words will link into the morning routine
vocabulary as we talk of stretching when
we wake, washing and getting dressed
for school.
We will review commands such as run,
walk, swim, skip, hop and look at loud,
quiet, big and small with a few listening
games.
Fruits will be covered using a memory
game and songs.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen,
fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty.
Sentence structure:
How many are there? Lets count.
What is this? Number one, two etc?

Games and Activities
We will be looking at the number recognition of 0-7. Games will be played with large flash
cards to reinforce what the digits look like. Along with recognition the children will learn to
put the numbers into order.
The children will be practicing counting out the correct number of objects in a picture and
collecting the correct amount of items. They will be learning that they will need to count
out in order to work with the higher numbers such as ten onwards.
-Dot to dot numbers, Number hunt, Number booklet to be continued (focus no.6),
Counting no.9 worksheet, flashcard jump game.

in, ip.

Tuesday- Snail Words-Speak slowly like a

snail to understand blended words. Put
letters on snail. Sing If You Think You
Know This Word with given words.
Wednesday - writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter a.
Thursday- Blending Box- Kids pick two
letters and blend them. Fly Swat Readingkids have to hit said blended words on the
board.
Friday writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter t.

Writing Practice
This week the children will be
practicing writing the number six in
their numbers booklet.
The sheep dot to dot activity will also
require hand strength and control in
order to complete the picture by
following the dots and numbers.
