This week we are learnin:

This week we will review numbers. The
children can all count from one to ten
easily but we will be looking at clarifying
numbers up to fifteen and continue to
look at sorting, matching and general
number recognition.
We will continue with the number songs,
practice our dance steps as we count to
the beats of the music and play games
with the number flashcards.
We will be practicing counting out
various items such as bottle top lids, and
pencils and the children will match the
correct amounts with the flash cards.
The join the numbers worksheet from
last week will also be finished this week.

The animal flashcards will be used to play games in order to achieve recognition of each
animal in the above vocabulary. "o fishing and the fly swat game will be played.
We will discuss the sounds that each animal makes so that we can play a guessing game
of $What am %!& This will involve a description of an animal such as $% am pink, have a
curly tail and make this sound. What am %!& #ctions will be used to describe things such
as the $curly tail& and the colours will be ideal to review previous knowledge.

There will not be any new letters and sounds this week as we will be reviewing all of the
sounds taught so far.

children will look at letters from phase
two as individual symbols without the
images. This will be good preparation
and review for the ne-t writing practice
book which involves the phase two

Writing practice with phonics will begin
ne-t week.
Some writing skills will be used for the
join the dots worksheet 4as referred to
in circle5 as pencil control will be
needed and the children will also be
colouring which all helps with general
de-terity.
