What is a Science Slam?
A great platform to present your research in a fun and entertaining manner! Science Slams are contests for young students or aspiring scientists from all fields.

What is the goal of a Science Slam?

The aim is to bring passionate participants and curious spectators together in a relaxed atmosphere. The participants do everything in their capacity to convey the fascination of their work and to win the admiration of the audience through their performance.

How does a Science Slam work?

A slammer can present his/her scientific or literary work in an entertaining and comprehensive way in a time limit of 5 minutes. The following forms of expression may be used:

Music - Through songs/ rapping Dance - Any style Drama - Short drama/ skit Audio-Visual Poetry Any other form of novel and creative expression Who can apply? The Science Slam is open to students from all disciplines who are currently registered in Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes. Individuals as well Teams may participate. How to apply? Log on to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BangaloreSlam to submit your application. What is the deadline? The last date for submitting your entry is 27 January, 2014. If your entry is shortlisted, you will be notified by 7 February, 2014. The Science Slam will take place in Bangalore on 25 February, 2014. What are the prizes?
