Profile
Motivated, dedicated, flexible, and efficient High School Theater Arts Educator who is also K-8 certified, highly qualified to teach History and Language Arts and holds a transitional English 7-12 certification. Experience working with learners with academic challenges including students in the life skills program, as well as students considered gifted and talented. Student centered learning is at the heart of my teaching. I have presented Professional Development workshops around Differentiated and Data Driven Instruction.

Professional Experience
Developing Student Centered units which pose an essential question that provides for deeper level thinking. Creating Assessment tools that are aligned with the Common Core Standards adopted by the State of Maine. Developing curriculum in Theater Arts that aligns with Common Core and is collaborative with other content areas such as history, English, art and music. Presenting material for Professional Development at State and Regional Conferences as part of the Maine Assessment Alliance Institute (MAAI). Working to provide appropriate educational goals for all students through Differentiated Instruction. Serving as a teacher mentor for provisionally certified teachers. Supervision of team of artists as Artistic Director of a Theater Camp. Trained as Therapeutic Foster parent who helps to develop goals and monitors progress.
