What is SADD? Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded. Students have told us that positive peer pressure, role modeling and environmental strategies can prevent other destructive decisions and set a healthier, safer course for their lives. And that is why SADD has become a peer-to-peer education, prevention, and activism organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, teen violence, and teen suicide. SADD Mission Statement To provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, and other destructive decisions. Expectations: We will be meeting after school on Thursdays at 2:45 p.m. You are expected to attend 70% of our meetings and events. You are expected to arrive to meetings and events on time (if you have another commitment such as extra help, you must have a pass). SADD Meeting Dates for the 1st Semester Thursday 10/3 Thursday 10/17 Thursday 10/31 Thursday 11/14 Thursday 11/21 Thursday 12/12 Thursday 12/19

I understand the expectations and responsibilities of being a member of SADD.
