    ACTION Contact the company and nearest flag state office for an evaluation of the situation and future prospects. Prepare to minimise combat damages by closing all doors, openings etc. Prepare means of escape for the crew if necessary including possible cabin re-allocation.

    Make contact with other ships in the vicinity in order to co-ordinate actions. Find out possible sailing route problems e.g. presence of mines or warships.

    Documents which if found by the warring factions could worsen the situation with regard to the treatment of crew members should be destroyed. Do the utmost to inform flag state office and the company of precautions taken and planned actions. If war breaks out when in port: Stop all loading/discharging and prepare for sea. Stop all 10 shore leave. Evaluate possibilities of leaving the berth and the harbour 11 without permission or a pilot.

    INSTRUCTIONS :
    To complete in case vessel sails in warzone. To keep in the Voyage File file and forward a copy to the office.
