INTRODUCTION:

With the advent of Industrial Revolution in Europe, major powers started conquering territories in order to meet the increasing demand of raw materials. The two major powers, English and French, also wanted to make a proof of their supremacy and thus they started colonizing more and more countries. Both the powers had acquired proportionate land in the whole of world but each of them wanted to conquer India for themselves. As a result of this, many continuous wars were fought among them. These wars were First Carnatic War (1746-1748), Second Carnatic War (17491754), and Third Carnatic War (1757-1763).All these wars were fought with English and French on the one side and the Deccan king on the other side. These wars were short but these wars determined that English were the true masters of commercial India. Though the Frenchmen had some initial success under the leadership of Dupleix later on they were defeated by the Englishmen who, in this wars used very advanced techniques.
