an albu& cover to represent their landscape2 #he lesson ob'ectives of this task were to have the students create a &edia artwork that co&&unicates and idea to the audience to have participate in investigating landscapes2 5esson 9 #his is the lesson that we will be showing you today+ involving the "#S$ app2 #o start the lesson off as a teacher to the students+ you would show the& the liar bird video that we showed you at the start+ and the students would of have to have co&pleted their albu& cover and research before &oving onto this new task2 #he ob'ectives of this lesson are to get the students to use &edia technologies to capture sounds+ and to develop their aural skills by e1ploring sound+ pitch and rhyth&s2 5esson : 6fter this lesson+ the last lesson will be used to co&plete any Sound scapes left and to show their songs to the class2 /e thought for this lesson could be done al&ost like a ga&e to allow for feedback fro& the students in the class2 So what would happen would be the group would present their song to the class and the class would have to guess what they could hear in the song and guess what landscape it is2 /e want the students to gain e1perience in giving presentations and answering ;uestions in front of their audience2 #ell the class to get into groups of three and e1plain to the& that 'ust for today were going to allocate a landscape to the& but the actual class would have previously chosen theirs2 6ssign each group one of the following: 6rctic ,utback 6ustralia %ity <orest ,cean Savannah Swa&p $ainforest resent e1a&ple of soundscape and get students to guess what landscape its based on2 Hand i ads out to class and &ake sure they all have the app2 So you are now all year 4 students 01plain how to use the "#S$ app2 -,pen app2 - ick the first person in the group to record and e1actly what ani&al=nature sound they will be recording2 -Hit the record button and wait for the count down2 /hen it hit 1+ start &aking your sounds2 -%ontinue this until all &e&bers of your group have recorded their voices2 -.t &ight be a good idea if everyone in your group has two goes+ that way you will end up with twice as &any noises in your soundscape2 Separate the class into different areas of the classroo&+ away fro& each other so they don8t hear each other doing the recordings2 So&e groups &ay work outside+ as long as they don8t disturb others2 Ipads, musical, Instruments, students plan o& landscapes
