Specific Objective: Learning to trust partners/other students Concomitant Objective: Teamwork, communication and collaboration Time Procedures Followed Materials Warm Up: _____ -Because the activity does not require a heightened Minutes heart rate or rigorous exercise, a warm up is not needed. Transition: _____ -Clap if you can hear me Count off 1&2 to establish Seconds numbers. #1s hold a hand in the air, #2s hold a fist in the air until all pairs are established. When I say go, begin leading your partner. When I say freeze, stop where you are. When I say go, grab a cone/ball to put away and then walk back to the green line.

Set Induction: -Who has heard the word trust before? Who can define the word trust? Learnable Piece: -Learning to trust your partner and learning what trusting someone looks like.

Presentation of New Material/Directions: -Have everyone select a partner (if odd number, one group of three). You must successfully lead your blind partner (that you cannot touch) to the other side of the court without hitting a mine (cone/ball) or another duo. Transition: _____ -Stand at far end of the gym. Clap to get everyones Seconds attention. When I say go, everyone select a partner and hold arms in the air. Decide who should be #1 or #2. #2s will have to lead their partner and #1s will have to listen carefully to their partner. Activity: _____ -(The gym will be used horizontally rather than vertically, Minutes structure, and no running, pushing or shouting- talking is allowed but yelling isnt necessary.) Teams cannot be more than 2 steps away from each other- dont abandon your partner!

Possible Modifications: -Use full gym size, add more cones, if you hit a mine or duo you must go back to the start line and switch partners. Lesson Review: -Have everyone take a cone/ball to put away and then come back to the green line as usual. Then ask: #1s, what did you learn about trust from your parter? #2s, how did you earn your partners trust?
