Core tasks A. Assist in the daily work of the Programme and Communications units including: supporting the LPI field offices the development of programme methodology and project implementation the production and dissemination of LPIs publications, website, newsletters etc participating in the planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating of conferences and seminars translation of crucial documents from English to French and vice versa when possible B. Assist in the daily function of the whole Institute, including administrative work Any other tasks as may be required Qualifications Masters degree in peace and conflict research, conflict management, political science, or other relevant field Proven computer literacy (Word, Excel) Excellent (good) speaking and writing skills in English Ability to accept leadership and guidance and to complete tasks independently Ability to work under pressure, with strict guidelines, and to prioritise clearly Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work as part of a team and under stress Experience of working in an inter-cultural setting Thorough attention to detail Leave entitlement Working hours 2 working days per month There is a standard 40 hour week, with some flexibility around start and finish times to be agreed with the line manager.
