Dr. Mark Moore Assistant Professor East Carolina University 150 Minges Coliseum Greenville, NC 27858 Dear Dr. Moore, I am very interested in the Sport Management program at East Carolina University. I volunteered over 120 hours at the William G. White YMCA, which gave me the opportunity to experience and enjoy several different aspects of the sport management field. I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in sport management, which I feel will enhance my abilities in the sports field. My volunteer background has included helping with the Chris Paul CP3 foundation, Meals on Wheels, Refereeing for adolescents, as well as Habitat for Humanity. These experiences helped with my understanding of marketing strategies, as well as working with the youth and the elderly. My bachelors Degree in Sport Management has provided me with the knowledge of the Foundations of Sports, Sport Marketing, Sport Financing, and Sport Law. I have also taken courses that involved coaching middle school, high school, and collegiate sports. The ECU sport management program came highly recommended by graduate students and other associates in the sport management field that I have talked with, and that the curriculum is outstanding. Through my research on deciding which school to attend I found that the East Carolina University college of Health and Human Performance is one of the top in the nation. I would be proud to be a student in the ECU sport management program. Through all my volunteer experiences with sports, I have developed a compassionate approach and commitment to helping expand the sport management field through whatever career I decide to go into. I would enjoy working in the sports management field and look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Richard Daniels
