PANCREAS

 The

pancreas is about 6 inches long and sits across the back of the abdomen,behind the stomach. The head of the pancreas is on the right side of the abdomen and is connected to the duodenum(the first section of the small intestine) through a small tube called the pancreatic duct. 3.The narrow and of the pancreas, called the tail, extends to the left side of the body

 The

pancreas is a glandular organ in the digestive system and endocrine system of vertebrates. The pancreas is also digestive organ, secreating pancreas juice containing digestive enzyme and absorption of nutrient in small intestine These enzyme help to further break down the carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids in the chyme.

 The

pancreas is a dual-function gland, having features of both endocrine and exocrine glands. The of the pancreas with endocrine function is made up of approximately a million cell clusters called islets of langerhans. The pancreas as an exocrine gland help out the digestive system. It secretes pancreatic fluid that contains digestive enzymes that pass to the small intestine.

Diabetes

The body immune system attacks and destroys the pancreas insulin producing cell. Lifelong insulin injection are required to control blood sugar. The pancreas loses the ability to approprirtely produce and release insulin. The body also becomes resistant to insulin ,and blood sugar rises.

Cyctic fibosis

A genetic disorder that affect multiple body system,usually including the lung and the pancreas. Digestive problems and diabetes often result.

Pancreatitis Inflammation of the pancreas. A variety of factors cause a high pressure within pancreatic duct. Pancreatic duct rupture, and pancreatic juice leakage causes a pancreatic selfdigestion. Gallstones and alcohol are the most common causes for pancreatitis.

Pancreatic cancers: Particularly cancer of the exocrine pancreas, remain of the most deadly cancer, and the mortality rate is very high. Pancreatic endocrine tumors are rare.
