1 BJT High Frequency Model


A BJT transistor in the active mode can be approximated for hand calculation in this course to the following model:

For each transistor you buy, its datasheet contains the following parameters: (e.g. 2N2222A) VJC VJE C JC C JE F 0.4V 0.8V 19.4 pF 29.6 pF 325 ps

Note that C and C are not constant values, and they can then be calculated after the DC analysis as follows:

2 Common-Emitter Amplifier

2.1 Low Cut-off Frequency

3 Common-Collector Amplifier

3.1 Low Cut-off Frequency
