This article shows that fire affects both the biosphere and atmosphere. There are studies that show modern change in fire regimes. Fire history-based studies of fire and climate change and propose three pathways along which fire regimes might respond to climate change: changes in fuel condition, fuel volume, and ignitions. Model- and empirical-based studies have largely focused on changes in fuel condition with some models projecting up to 50% increases in area burned under a 2 x CO2 climate. Most fire history research has focused on changes in area burned and fire frequency. Changes in fire severity may be equally important for the earth system and require further attention. As Global warming increases so will the wildfires, and the damage to health and property that they cause. This articles limitations is the lacking of the weather having to do with or possibly be the cause of the fire. I was looking for more information how the high winds can cause a fire. The Earth is now closer to the Sun causing extreme climate change. When the climate changes Fire officials are worried about gusty winds and extremely low humidity that can promote fire growth. Another potential limitation is the percentage scale showing the increase of fires due to climate change and people.
