Exploratory Essay

Whether it is Stage 1 or Stage 5, it affects most everyone in the same way. Shock, anger, resentment, devastation are all emotions associated with finding out a family member or friend has cancer. The different organizations that help to keep families and friends comfortable and aware of what is happening are how families get through this difficult time in their lives. The passion I have for helping families who are going through this tough time is incredible. The more I think about the organizations involved with helping these families, the more I want to learn more about what they do to help out the families. I have had personal experience with having a family member who had cancer. I think this is one of the main reasons why I am so interested in how much these organizations help in the healing process of the family members involved. Experiencing the feeling of losing a family member is my main motivation to learn about the organizations that help. I know the organizations not only help the patients with the cancer but they also help the family members. There are multiple organizations that help with this but one that I would focus on would be St. Judes. This is an organization that has always interested me.
