INTERVIEW

Student Interview
1. Tell me what it is like to be a reader/ writer in this
classroom.
In this classroom it is very fun. I am able to be creative. When we are
writing my favorite part of the writing process is when we peer edit.
2. How do you learn best as a student?
I learn best when I create my own way of understanding. I listen to
what (the teachers name) has to say and then I try to create my way of
understanding what she said.
3. What makes a good teacher?
A good teacher helps you to improve on things you do not know or
understand. A good teacher also tells you things to improve on.
4. What makes a good learner/ student?
I think that a good student works cooperatively with the other students
in the room.
5. If you were a teacher in the classroom what would you do
the same? What would you do differently?
The things I would keep the same is how much (the teachers name)
helps us with our work. The things I would do different is to make my
teaching to have everyone learn the best.

Reflection
The student I chose to interview was a very bright but
quiet student. The students answers were short but very
insightful into this students thoughts about the classroom.
This student seems to really enjoy being in this classroom
and how my cooperating teacher is running the classroom. I
say this because the student initially did not have anything
to say about what they would change or do differently in the
classroom but I asked the student to think for a few minutes
about it and eventually the idea of the different ways that
would help all of the students came.
Overall it was great to interview this student. I had
never interviewed a student before and that was interesting
to see how they answered questions and what they really
thought about the things that were going on in the
classroom.
