The Influence of Reporting Real Event Strategy toward Writing News Ability of

the Eighth Grade of Junior High School 1 Palebang

This research aimed to determine whether reporting real event strategy influences
toward writing news ability of the eighth grade students at Junior High School 1
Palembang. The method of this research was quasi-experimental. The quasi-
experimental method was carried by using classes that already exist as the groups
both the experimental group and the control group. The !esearch was conducted at
the eighth grade of Junior High School 1 Palembang in the first semester of academic
year "#1"$"#1%. The research population was "#& students. The research sample was
'# students consisting of %# students from ())).' class *experimental class+ and %#
students from ()))., class *control class+. !esearch data was obtained from the ability
test in writing news. -ata analysis used the t-test. .rom the testing of t-test it was
/nown that the t-test was 0.00# and the t-table was 1.', with df 1 2& at 32 4
significance le5el *6 1 #.#2+. Hypothesis testing criteria was Ho was acceptable if the

which stated ;There is no influence of reporting real event strategy in the writing
news *<1 1 <"+= was refused. Thus it could be concluded that the reporting real
event strategy influences toward writing news ability of the eighth grade students at
Junior High School 1 Palembang.
