-Vaginally Confused
Dear Vaginally Confused,
Unlike male reproductive anatomy, most of a womans reproductive organs are internal. The vagina is a muscular canal that extends from the vulva (external anatomy) to the cervix (lower part of the uterus). The vaginal canal is where blood comes out during a period or a penis is inserted during sex. Surrounding the vagina is a fatty mound of tissue, skin, and pubic hair called the mons pubs. In addition, folds of skin called labia surround and protect the clitoris, as well as vaginal (where sex occurs and a baby leaves the body) and urethral openings (where urine leaves the body). If you are a female, you need to take good care of your vagina by showering/bathing regularly and washing the external parts with a mild soap and water. To answer your question, similar to the presence of nerve endings in a males penis, a woman has an organ called a clitoris that can be stimulated during sex and provides a woman with pleasurable sensations. The clitoris is very sensitive to direct or indirect touch or pressure.
