nonrenewable, renewable, or inexhaustible? What are the infrastructure requirements? Biomass is a renewable energy source. Biomass is biological material from living, or recently living organisms. For infrastructure we will need Farming and power plants.
How is the energy source made useable? What technologies will make Biomass more safer? Biomass can be burned directly, or converted into a gas or oil, to generate electricity (biopower) and heat. It can also be converted into liquid fuels (biofuels) for our transportation needs. Biomass is cheaper than fossil fuels. The use of biomass can reduce dependance on foreign oil. Reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Reference Sheet http://www.biomassenergycentre.org.uk/portal/page?_pageid=76 ,15049&_dad=portal
