Who is Pythagoras?
Pythagoras was born in 570 BCE, in
Samos, a Greek island in the Aegean
Sea. He was very interested in
Metaphysics, Music, Mathematics,
Ethics, and Politics. Pythagoras
founded the Pythagorean School of
Mathematics in the city Croton. Soon
after, that he discovered the
Pythagorean Theorem. He was so
excited and happy, that he sacrificed
an oxen as an offering. Pythagoras
unfortunately died in 495 BCE.

Explain the Pythagorean

Theorem
The Pythagorean Theorem is a math
concept that states a2+b2=c2. This
theory of math was discovered by
Pythagoras in 530 BCE. For
example, let say you have a triangle
that has sides of 3, 4, 5. You would
make the equation: 32+42=52. After
this you would simplify it and see
that 9+16=25, and this is true.
